Intimate Image® has recognized the need to provide women requiring breast prosthesis with a service that provides expert fitting individual to each woman. Women can now consult with a breast prosthesis specialist who will now match them with the appropriate product to meet their lifestyle and cosmetic needs.
For years women have had to order breast prosthesis from catalogues and surgical appliance centers, where they do not know how to fit nor do they have the variety of products to meet the women's needs, and in order for their insurance plan to cover the purchase. What insurers haven't understood is that every woman is different, every surgery is different and a B cup prosthesis for one woman after surgery may or may not be appropriate just because she was a B cup prior to surgery.
The alternative has been to pay out of pocket for prosthesis sold at upscale department stores with lack of privacy...not to mention lack of expertise by young girls that are just learning how to fit a bra. This is a sensitive and frightening time for a woman, and should be handled with sensitivity, privacy and expertise. The client should feel comfortable and look her best. With 13 years of experience in bra and prosthesis fitting, our approach is fresh, convenient, and comfortable, and gives the client a complete sense of how special she is.

There is nothing as exciting to us as being able to help a woman to feel better about herself after breast surgery.
We have seen women who come in wearing the same breast forms they originally got twenty or thirty years ago. Because of weight gains or losses and deterioration of the breast forms over the years, their appearance is often less than ideal. It is so gratifying to be able to fit these women in today's new and improved breast forms and to enhance their appearance, comfort, and self image. One woman remarked that after being fitted with an equalizer on her reconstructed breast, her balance was noticeably better and she even improved her golf swing!
With Medicare and some managed care plans we are able to bill the insurance directly so there is no out-of-pocket expense to the customer.
